My Public Speaking Heroes

If you read carefully through this site you know already that public speaking was something I struggled with and a skill I wanted to posses. However I always admired people who could walk into a room full of people and start to talk.

For most of my life I couldn't but I watched and admired others. And I still do but now I know much more about what makes them special. It's no longer a feeling of fascination, now I admire them for their technique, uniqueness and wit.

relatedMy biggest hero is Jeffrey Gitomer, author of best selling books on sales, business and getting your way. Jeffrey gives over a 100 talks a year, seminars, runs annual sales meetings and conducts training programs on selling and customer service.

Jeffrey has an astonishing technique of capturing the crowd seconds after he takes the stage. He is also the first person to advocate that anyone can learn and master the art of public speaking just as you can develop positive attitude.

And in his words it all sounds so simple. I love him.

relatedAnother person I strongly follow and admire is David Allen. The author of enormously successful Getting Things Done (GTD) productivity method, David gives a countless talks and presentations worldwide to anyone from high top executives to ordinary staff in any kind of organization.

His biggest skill, that I am sure he simply learned and mastered is being able to present the audience the benefit of what he is about to tell them. You immediately want to listen to him and learn what he has to say.

David is certainly one of the greatest speakers I have encountered.
